Potable Water Storage Tanks

Elevated and ground storage tanks for potable water are designed to provide a sufficient quantity of water for peak demand and fire flow, and to maintain relatively constant pressure in the distribution system. On a daily basis, the level of water in these tanks does not fluctuate dramatically, resulting in stagnation, temperature gradients, and disinfection by-product formation.

An AquaBlend Potable Water Mixing System provides mixing of water storage tanks, ensuring high quality water is provided to end-users by homogenizing tank contents and minimizing the amount of residual disinfectant needed.

“[The city previously] had to take their water tower offline in the winter to prevent it from freezing… The AquaBlend system will now ensure availability of water year-around.” Greg L. – Engineer for Montana WWTP
